Optical Maser Rehabilitation

My brother was a heavy smoker, the kinda guy who lights a smoke with a smoke. One day his wife says, “I’ve been thinking about using laser light therapy to quit smoking. Do you want to come with me?”
To which my brother replied “I don’t want to quit smoking.”
She responded with “I’ll pay for the whole thing. I just don’t want to go alone.”
To which my brother replied “Ok.”
They went and he’s been smoke free since about 2010, on the other hand his wife started smoking again. Take from that what you will.
About a year after quitting my brother noticed his health improving; he was getting over colds more quickly and the additional money was a welcomed bonus. John Lennon said “Happiness is a warm gun (bang, bang, shoot, shoot)”. Turns out he might have been wrong. Maybe he should have said “Happiness is warm tar on your cilia (cough, cough, hack,hack)”.
